But the problem does still exist because what you basicly do is to change the base from 1970 to NOW, which doesn't help if you change the timer after the new base was set.Conclusion: In theory, there should be no way, to know if your system time was changed - all you can do is basicly check if the gap between the last received time and the newly received time is unusually long or by comparing to something with a fixed, non changable base - which is the uptime for example.I think I should have left out the possibility of cheating, seeing how my gameserver controls most things anyway, but in theory this could cause problems. After that, I calculate the current frame: 'GetTickCount() % (numberOfFrames-1) ' This means, that the GetTickCount() will jump once someone changes the system time (which is the difference (delta) between NOW and the 1st january 1970 by the way ).My timer class also supports resetting the timer, which is done by storing the current time in the reset function and subtracting the new time from the stored one in GetTickCount().
